Just curious if anyone else does this! I buy 4 lb bags of dried tart cherries on Amazon and snack on them throughout the day. I buy the Traverse City Fruit Company ones. They have fantastic reviews. They are Montmorency Tart Cherries which I believe are pretty high in antioxidants to lower Uric Acid. This is the brand I buy:

My question is do these cherries lose any effectiveness in treating gout once they've been dried? If I'm thinking correctly it wouldn't be any different than taking a dry tart cherry extract in a pill form right? Even if they aren't quite as effective as raw tart cherries I'm okay with it, because I know snacking on these is better for me than chips! :lol:
Jim, welcome to the forum and thanks for the link! I just bought a bag to try out. You are correct, I don't see any reason why these would be any different than tart cherry extract supplements. I'm always hesistant on buying a bunch of fresh cherries because I can never eat them all before they go bad, so this is a perfect solution! Will make a great quick snack :D
